Happy Monday y’all! CJAA will be hosting its next GBM, a sort of Mutual Aid 101, tomorrow, October 22, from 6:30 – 8:00pm!! Mutual aid is an essential form of community empowerment that uplifts individuals by providing resources that can otherwise be inaccessible. Learn how mutual aid efforts facilitate the cultivation of our abolitionist future! Masks and cozy clothing are strongly encouraged!
Local Happenings
Local organizations in the Raleigh area of the Triangle will be hosting a Gaza Aid Market from 12-5pm tomorrow, 10/22. Money from the market will go towards hygiene products and clothes for women displaced by the genocide in Gaza, through our comrade Osama, who you may have seen in previous digests!
Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene a few weeks ago, events to help protect the rights and lives of those affected are under way! The Pansy Collective is holding a free, virtual workshop with legal representation to help renters and tenants protect themselves from preying hands.
SiembraUNC is hosting a screening of the multi-part documentary The Cuba Libre Story, which details Cuba’s history from colonization to revolution and liberation.
The Landings Tenant Association is hosting a block party on Friday to strengthen community ties and celebrate Black culture in Carrboro! Show up and show out!

This upcoming weekend, Durham Prison Letters is hosting a letter-writing workshop for political prisoners at The Pinhook! Don’t miss it!
Mothers for Ceasefire in Durham is looking for volunteers to help make their charity yard sale a reality!
Mutual Aid
Mutual aid and community support is required for those incarcerated in Western NC who continue to live in inhumane conditions after Hurricane Helene. Any donations for their commissary funds and support in demanding better treatment is appreciated.
Similarly, aid is needed for those incarcerated here in the Triangle. Help Operation StopCPS and EmancipateNC reach their campaign goals by the end of the year!
Continued support is needed for those working to escape genocide in Palestine and war in the greater region. Anything helps, and every family matters!
