Local Happenings
The Communication Workers of America Union reached a tentative agreement with AT&T Southeast. This ends the longest telecommunications strike in this regionβs history and is a big win for workersβ rights in the Southeast!
The Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub in collaboration with Triangle Art 4 Aid was able to raise $4,097 with their Farmersβ Market 4 Gaza Aid last week! Scan the QR code in the post below if youβre interested in helping support the families as well.Β Β
Gather Good NC also held an amazing event last weekend in collaboration with @red_private_chef demonstrating how to make delicious homemade hummus.Β

This Thursday UNCβs Students for Justice in Palestine will be staging a walkout during the Board of Trustees meeting! Numbers are always needed so join if you can!
On September 20th Apple Against Apartheid will be protesting in Apple stores nationwide – check the post below for ways to get involved!
The CEF Durham office will be holding a Writing Workshop for Wellness on September 20th, all prompts will relate to tenant organizing and housing!
OperationStopCPS will be having their Freedom in the Park event on September 21st!
On September 17th Raleighβs LGBT center will be holding a queer centered abortion workshop!
Register before September 18th for Press Onβs online workshop on the process of documenting political movements with oral histories
The Marian Cheek Jackson Center is hosting a community cookout next Thursday from 5:30-8PM. Come out to Hargraves Community Center to enjoy some Alβs Burger Shack and music from DJ Avon!
On September 29th Durham Prison Letters will be hosting a political prisoner letter writing workshop from 12-2PM!
Several orgs in Raleigh will be holding a second Watermelon Film Night at the Raleigh Little Theater on September 21st!
